Elutions is currently seeking a software developer to function as part of a team in charge of an enterprise scale web-based system. The candidate in this role will function as part of a global team in charge of the continued development and maintenance for various customer deployments. As a flexible operational business intelligence platform, the application’s key features focus on intelligent search and control, energy management, asset tracking, and deep analytics. Today, the primary sectors of focus are around cellular infrastructure and large retailers.
Essential Functions:
Conceptualize, generate, and refine software solutions for relational database, automation, and user interface designs which are functional, reliable, and cost effective. Integrate these designs into the target systems by utilizing innovation and design expertise following design standards and software development best practices.
Perform necessary hardware and software evaluations to insure acceptable product performance and life
Develop efficient and easily understandable control and display software for product lines with a common look and feel
Ability to understand industry product application concepts and implement proper software solutions meeting our customer’s needs
Aid the overall effort toward sales and customer satisfaction by analyzing and correcting internal software and customer problems
Efficient in verbal software demonstrations
Assist and provide support on sales inquiries with technical data and customer presentations
Create software development processes for the creation and validation of prototype logic and program code for implementation across various operating systems
Research new technologies and trends for future designs that enhance the value of developed solutions to customers
Work with other engineering disciplines to evaluate interface between hardware and software and analyze the operational and performance requirements of overall systems
Modify and test prototype software using working models or theoretical models based on computer simulation
Be on-call and occasionally travel to provide on-site support to field service engineers during the commissioning or field test phase of the project.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates should possess (or will soon possess) a bachelor’s degree in a software centric engineering program OR other degree program plus 1-3 years applicable work experience
Demonstrated ability in software engineering best practices and processes
Working knowledge of relational database-centered applications
A command of the following languages is strongly preferred: JavaScript, .NET (C#), Transact-SQL
Other relevant experience includes: ASP.NET, Graphic Design, Statistics
Experience with Microsoft applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for live software demonstration purposes.
