The System Control Technician will be installing/pulling various types of wiring, HVAC wiring, temperature sensor wiring, serial communications wiring, some AC voltage wiring and wireless equipment/devices. Elutions solutions implements energy management solutions in large building infrastructures allowing the ability to track, monitor and control energy consumption. This solution uses wired and wireless network infrastructures.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Perform site surveys to assist in determining the installation requirements
Perform installations steps to interconnect various types of electronic hardware
Perform installation of wiring to support serial communications devices and configure/test their connectivity
Review and test network connectivity
Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Assess property layout and infrastructure and document according.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma/GED equivalent required
2-year degree in computer science/networking, etc., preferable but not required
HVAC background preferred but not required
Some basic knowledge of AC voltage wiring and electrical metering a plus, but not required.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
1-3 years experience facility controls wiring/technician experience, at least one year of experience with computer networking
Valid driver's license.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to communicate well.
Ability to work independently.
