Ontario, September 2, 2004 - TELUS Mobility today
announced an agreement with ELUTIONS, Inc. to offer the
iR1200 Rugged and iR1200 GPS-enabled wireless modems for
use on the all-in-one Mike network. These ruggedized devices
enable clients in industries such as oil and gas, field
services, utilities, transportation and public safety to
connect to the Internet and other data networks on the job
and on the road.
"The ability to stay connected in real time to email,
the Internet and enterprise applications is of vital importance
to these vertical markets. Our new modems allow these clients
to augment Mike's unique voice communications capabilities
with rugged and reliable data communications," said
Robert Blumenthal, TELUS Mobility's Vice President of Products
and Services.
Designed to operate in harsh environments, the iR1200 Rugged
modem meets military specifications for shock, vibration

solutions to TELUS Mobility and extending our iDEN-based
product offering into the Canadian market. Providing networking
devices and giving people access to information anywhere
at anytime is what we do best," said Michael Doucas,
