The ALERT® software provides vehicle location for transport and service fleets, trailer units, plant or any mobile unit that requires monitoring. Vehicle information and status is displayed on a user-friendly GUI (Graphic User Interface) format. The information provided consists of accurate start and stop times, time spent on sites, velocity and direction.
Some features of the ALERT® software are:
- Internet-based, hosted ASP solution
- Secure access
- Voice, data, messaging communications
- 12 Channel GPS satellite tracking
- Automatic vehicle location and tracking
- User-defined GeoFencing, virtual boundaries that may trigger an alarm
- Historical “breadcrumb” device tracking and movement
- Detailed text and map-based reports on each vehicle’s location, speed, idles and stops
- User friendly icons for displaying landmarks and vehicles

ALERT ED Student Safety and Transportation
In a time where homeland security and the safety of children are such high priorities, the need to keep passenger censuses is critical. Hand written manifests cannot effectively or accurately track when students enter or exit a bus, nor can they be useful to safety authorities if they are |

| on the bus when the bus is in transit. | |
ALERT ED Web-based technology enables school administrators, bus company dispatchers, and public safety personnel to locate a school bus, monitor student activities, access student census, retrieve bus telematic information, and view on-board video images from any web browser. Flexible reports identifies bus stops, stop locations, stop durations, stop sign deployment, emergency door opening, etc.
These incremental value-added features and functions include:
- IRX WIRELESS APPLICATION PLATFORM - Ruggedized, state-of-the-art communication device providing on-board 802.11 Access Point and iDEN? Network connectivity for transmission of high frame-rate video and student census data. The integrated GPS module provides real-time bus location while the local Ethernet connection and integrated analog and digital inputs provide connectivity to on-board digital video cameras, hard drives, and vehicle sensors, such as door status, stop arm status, safety gate status, and other vehicle related sensor inputs.
- ON-BOARD VIDEO CAMERA - Monitor student activities from any location via cellular data network or within the vicinity of the bus via 802.11.
- RFID PROXIMITY CARD READERS - Capture and maintain accurate records of when and where driver, escorts, and students enter or exit the bus.
- PANIC BUTTONS - Available wired or wireless panic buttons allows drivers to discreetly alert administrators and first responders of emergency situations.
