Wizcon Supervisor is the industry’s most open SCADA software. It communicates both upward with enterprise systems and downward with controllers and I/Os, usually via industry-standard protocols such as OPC.
OPC is an open standard for process control. OPC gathers
specifications published by users within the OPC
Foundation. To use these specifications, all you have
to do is to accept and to respect the
user conditions.
OPC Clients
All Wizcon licenses have OPC Clients included (currently OPC AE and OPC DA).
You can add connectivity features by making Wizcon into an OPC Server:
OPC DA Server
Wizcon OPC DA Server enables making Wizcon act as a Data Access Server to provide application data to other external clients.
OPC HDA Server
Wizcon OPC HDA Server enables making Wizcon act as a Historical Data Access Server to provide application data to other external clients.
