Fully deterministic with blue screen survivalApplications that require deterministic task execution can use VenturCom’s Real-Time extensions for Windows NT. This helps ensure that interrupts will not be able to stop WizPLC operations at any time and that WizPLC won’t be affected by operating system failures. Functioning as the top task manager, the hard real-time extensions ensure that WizPLC tasks will always get the first priority. For example, hard real-time will guarantee that WizPLC will execute tasks in their pre-defined cycle time, without discrepancies caused by Windows NT system tasks or interrupts. This guarantees full determinism task execution.
Users can choose between the Soft Real-time and the Hard Real-time modes with a mouse click. There is no change in the programming or system configuration.
