Using WizPLC

With WizPLC, users can do the following:

• Define control logic and HMI applications in one PC environment. Since Wizcon and WizPLC share a common tag database, users can define tags once either in WizPLC or in Wizcon.
• Use WizPLC instead of standard PLCs to control the plant floor. WizPLC communicates with the I/O in the plant through the fieldbus network protocol and updates Wizcon on any changes of tag values. Using fieldbus eliminates the need for complex wiring between field devices and the PLCs.
• If users already have PLCs, they don’t need to throw them away. WizPLC reads all the Wizcon tags, including the tags sampled by the different PLCs connected to Wizcon. Use WizPLC to build an application that will synchronize among the different PLCs. This way, once users decide to expand their plant, they can use the WizPLC application without adding PLCs.
• Write special function blocks in C and use them within WizPLC applications.
