Wizcon for Windows and Internet
Millisecond time stamp
Wizcon’s millisecond time-stamped event logging allows users to track
events exactly as they occurred in the field. This allows the operator
to easily separate different events and identify the first alarm
that was detected. For fast processes with large amount of data, the time
stamp can be performed by the PLC and retrieved by Wizcon with the exact
PLC time stamp.
Built-in remote time stamp
Wizcon’s built-in time stamp mechanisms allow Wizcon to receive not only
the updated variables from Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), but also the
exact time when the updates took place. This sophisticated, transparent
mechanism integrates time-stamped data accumulated by RTUs or data logging
devices into Wizcon’s historical data and alarm files. The data logging
device sends Wizcon the records of events with millisecond time stamp
accuracy.
The communication driver collects, parses, and transfers events to WizPro (the Wizcon kernel), which merges these events in its historical database. This unique mechanism allows Wizcon to trace remote events with up to 1 millisecond resolution.
